Find (and make) great gifts at Crafts & Cocktails local handmade market
Taking place Friday October 5th from 5:30pm to 9:30pm, Crafts & Cocktails kicks off Thanksgiving weekend and will give you a lovely head start on your Holiday shopping.
From Iced Capps to Pumpkin Spiced Lattes, the transition from summer to fall always sneaks up so quickly! Seeing the fall decorations hit the shelves can be exciting for some but can also cause anxiety for others as fall decorations all too soon turn to Christmas decorations and the reminder of the preparation that go into the Holidays.
According to a study done by University of East London in partnership with Moneysupermarket Shopping, Christmas shopping increased blood pressure to dangerous levels in 50 per cent of shoppers.
Heart rates increased by an average of 10 per cent during Christmas shopping. Men felt twice as stressed post shopping, while women were almost three times as stressed. The results show why more consumers than ever are putting their feet up and shopping online.
But Amazon isn’t the only option for making your holiday shopping stress free! Take in local craft and artisan shows like Crafts and Cocktails where you can trade-in the experience of busy malls, crowded parking lots and long lines for a relaxed and fun night of shopping handmade goods by talented, local artisans, gathering with friends, listening to local musicians and enjoying cocktails while you shop! You can even make your own crafts to gift (or keep!) by signing up for one of the ‘Make & Take’ projects.
Stop by Crafts & Cocktails, taking place at The Soundstage (1831 College Ave) on Friday evening and fill your shopping bags with thoughtful handmade gifts. While the masses are out buying last minute gifts on Dec 24th, you’ll be laughing with your feet up and a glass of wine in hand.
